The Carpet Dynamic Load Tester is used for determining the thickness loss of textile floor coverings under dynamic load.  It can be used on all types of textile floor covering with a surface that is level in height and construction.  It is not applicable to other floor coverings unless the areas of different thicknesses or construction can be tested separately.

The Carpet Dynamic Load Tester is manufactured with relevance to AS 2112.2 standard.  The sample is subjected to a cyclic-loading treatment in which an impact assembly repeatedly drops feely onto the specimen.  At the same time the specimen is slowly traversed.  The thickness of the specimen is measured before and after the procedure.
