The Box Compression Tester is designed to evaluate packages and material under compressive loads using a hydraulic cylinder and servo system to apply a precise linear motion and force. The machine is applicable to box compression, stack testing, and multi-box compression, using a computer software package for data acquisition.

The Box Compression Tester is manufactured with reference to AS130-1-800s, ASTM D642, ASTM D4169, TAPPI T804 and ISO 12048 standards and used within cardboard and packaging industries. 

The software program is based on the world renowned LabVIEW program, designed by IDM Instuments.  Test methods can be pre-programmed on the software, saved and then retreived for later use, thereby  reducing set up time by eliminating the time needed to set up the program for every test.  Tests are displayed in real-time with the different data output including: force and deflection; digital display, peak load/position; digital display & XY graph; statistical output (on screen or print); and ability to print any test screen or statistics.
