Introducing the world's smallest string pot!
The new M150 string pot has a range of 1.5 inches, fits into tiny spaces and is the perfect position sensing solution for a variety of applications such as robotics, biomedical, aerospace testing and automotive applications.

Size and Durability
The M150 transducer's aluminium body measures just .74 x .74 x .38 inches and uses a .014-inch diameter nylon-coated stainless steel measuring cable. The M150 offers extremely durable construction and a high degree of reliability, with constant tension and fully retractable stainless steel measuring cable that easily attaches to the object under motion. Installation is quick and easy since cable alignment is not a requirement for efficient and effective use. The movement of the M150's internal spring-loaded spool turns the potentiometer which, when connected to a voltage source, produces a voltage directly proportional to the position of the measuring cable.

Engineering
This string pot has been engineered for reliability to provide quick, easy and hassle-free installation for customers. While other transducers require precise alignment, the M150 is easier to use and offers quick, accurate measurements. It delivers a high-linearity voltage feedback signal by using a precision conducive, plastic potentiometer at the heart of the sensor.

Customer Satisfaction
The M150 design was geared to meet customer needs. Every M150 comes standard with extra leader cable and an eyelit kit to allow the customer to terminate the measuring cable precisely at the required stroke position.

Model: MTA

The MTA is part of the new miniature line of cable-extension position transducers that is perfect for short-ranged testing and control applications where space is a premium.

This transducer uses a high-cycle conductive plastic potentiometer to provide a precision voltage divider feedback signal measurement ranges of 3 or 5 inches full stroke.

The MTA miniature cable extension transducer combines 0.4% accuracy and 50-million cycle potentiometer life into a small package that gives designers high-performance to fit in small assemblies.

Measurement ranges available are 0-3" and 0-5".

The PT101 has become a standard throughout the years for literally thousands of applications including aircraft structural testing, hydraulic cylinder control, valve stem opening, and factory automation.

Available in full stroke ranges up to 100-inches, the PT101 provides a voltage feedback signal linearly proportional to the position of its traveling stainless steel measuring cable. The PT101 has an operating temperature of -40 to 90 degrees Celsius. Additionally the PT101 installs in minutes and doesn’t require perfect parallel alignment. Simply secure the base to a fixed surface and attach the measuring cable to your moving object.

The PT420 is available with full scale measurement ranges from 2 to 100 inches, providing a 0/4-20 mA feedback signal that is linearly proportional to the position of a travelling stainless-steel extension cable. Use the PT420 to provide position feedback on hydraulic cylinders in factories and utilities, gate position in fresh or waste water distribution systems, or valve opening in process-related applications.

The PT420 installs in minutes by mounting its base to a fixed surface and attaching its cable to the moving object. The PT420 works without perfect parallel alignment, and when its stainless steel cable is retracted, its height is less than 5".

This series is part of our instrument-grade line of cable-extension transducers. This is perfect for slow to moderate acceleration applications in laboratory, no-hostile environments.

The PT5E encoder-based cable-extension transducer offers a unique thermoplastic cable that has virtually an infinite fatigue life. This cable, known as V62, has properties that are superior for high cycle and rugged applications.

The PT5E installs in minutes, functions properly without perfectly parallel alignment, and fits easily into small areas. The PT5E offers additional installation flexibility since its cable exit can be rotated relative to the mounting surface, providing four different cable exit orientations. This Cable-Extension Position Transducer has an operating temperature of -17 to 71 degrees celsius.

The PT5MA pontentiometric cable-extension transducer uses a unique thermoplastic cable that has virtually an infinite fatigue life. This cable, known as V62, has properties that are superior for high cycle and rugged applications.

The PT5MA installs in minutes, functions properly without perfect parallel alignment and fits easily into small areas. The PT5MA offers additional installation flexibility since its cable exit can be rotated relative to the mounting surface, providing four different cable exit orientations.

The PT5 Series is part of our industrial line of cable-extension transducers. This is an excellent solution for high acceleration and high-cycle applications such as die-casting, injection moulding or crash testing.

Measurement ranges up to 250 inches. Environmental suitability: NEMA 6, IP67.

The PT9420 is a great value for demanding long-range applications requiring a 4 - 20 mA linear position feedbacksignal. Sealed to meet NEMA 4 standards, this Cable-Extension Transducer will perform even under the harshest of environmental conditions.
