The Constant Deflection Compression Tester is designed to measure the change of thickness of a polyurethane sample of 50mm x 50mm, after deflecting the test piece to a specified deflection, at a certain amount of time and temperature. 

Once the polyurethane test piece is compressed at a known deflection, time and temperature, the thickness loss is measured after a precise recovery period, and a reading is obtained.

The Compression device is manufactured with two flat plates, placed parallel to each other by bolts.  The space between the plates is adjustable using spacers to suit different sample thicknesses.
