Formation Tester
Model: FMT-MIII
The Formation Tester is an easy to use instrument used for paper and nonwovens based on the image analysis. Testing is performed by placing a sample sheet on the sample stage, with illumination from underneath. The CCD camera then captures an image with 320 x 230 pixels, and measures the light intensity by each pixel.
The data is then transmitted into % and optical density (OD), in which various data is then calculated. The Formation Tester is useful for quality control of the product, and is suitable for fast routine measurement within the production site.
