Model: G0003
The glow wire test is to simulate the effect of thermal stresses, which may be produced by heat sources, such as glowing elements or overloaded resistors, for short periods, in order to asses the fire hazard by a simulation technique.
The glow wire is a specified loop of resistance wire which is electrically heated to a specified temperature. The glow wire is then bought into contact with the specimen under test.
