The HiRes FQA rapidly and accurately measures fiber length, width, % numeric fines and kink in dilute pulp samples.
Software is also available to measure mean fiber coarseness, hardwood/softwood blends, analyse shives and analyse vessel elements. The AutoFeed can also be used with the FQA, capable of automatically testing up to 99 samples.
Application:
The non-foulingand non-plugging features of the HiRes FQA allow easy measurement of difficult pulpswithout special pretreatment or screening.

Features:
• Rapid, accurate and simultaneous measurement of length, width, curl and kink on fibers up to 10mm long.
• A single high resolution camera that measures all fiber values at once. Combined fiber length and wifth data provides useful tool for pulp blending.
• Circular polarised light providing the most accurate measurement of fiber length and shape
• Sample cleaning and de-airing are unnecessary, unlike many non-polarized light methods.
• The cytometric flow cell stays clean and prevents plugging. This enables the characterization of pulps with contaminants such as ink, fillers, extractives and pitch.
• Exceeds the specications of Tappi Standard T271, PAPTAC StandardB.4, and ISO Standard 16065-1.
