IDM Instruments Pty Ltd® Preventive Maintenance and Calibration Program:

Objectives:
The IDM Preventive Maintenance and Calibration (PM&C) program has been designed to make the maintenance and calibration of your valuable testing equipment more cost effective by preventing breakdowns and downtime by regular calibration, service and replacement of defective parts.

Principle:
IDM's PM&C system takes care of all service and repair needs you may have. It is an on-site maintenance and calibration service available on a regular basis, suitable to your needs and your testing equipment. The PM&C program is the best way to ensure your testing equipment is maintained in optimum working condition.

Preventive Maintenance:
PM&C team members are supplied with the necessary means to sustain your testing equipment's peak performance throughout its lifetime, benefiting both you and your equipment.

Traceable Calibration:
Testing equipment in your facility (or at IDM) will be calibrated using industry-wide, internationally recognised standards or by your specific requirements. Calibrated instruments are labelled accordingly and documented with an IDM full calibration report or certificate of conformance (whichever is applicable).

All calibrations are maintained in IDM's calibration database and you will be notified when your next service/calibration is due. IDM's Calibration work is comprehensive- adjusting your equipment to give you the right results, whenever possible.

Summary:
Through this system of scheduled PM&C, IDM can help you improve productivity by reducing down time, minimising unscheduled maintenance and the need for service calls. We schedule in agreed dates and periods for the PM&C program, and give you prior notification so you have time to prepare yourself. This service is available in Australia and Tasmania only at this point of time.

IDM can offer you the following services for your equipment:

Scheduled Agreement:
With a Scheduled Agreement IDM quote the work to be performed and arrange a schedule to suit your needs over the periods of: 2, 3, 4, or 5 years. The payments can be made prepaid in full, or made Quarterly / Yearly.

Extra Insurance (customers in Victoria only):
Three call-outs per year, Extra Insurance is a program organised to guarantee you service within a 24 hour period from the time of your call. That will ensure prompt response if you have a problem with one of the instruments listed on the program, while avoiding costly delays. This is a pre-pay service that can be combined with any of the other agreements we offer. This service saves you even more time as there is no need to organise another purchase order to have a service completed.

Standard Quoted Service/Calibration Calls
Cost of labour is calculated from time of departure until the time of return to IDM premises*. This service is booked to the next available appointment. A purchase order must be forwarded to us prior to commencement of the work. Invoicing would be prepaid, or on a 30 day account to approved customers.

If any extra parts, components and/ or labour (not quoted for) are required to complete a service, you will be notified and written approval would be requested before continuation of the work. These expenses would be invoiced separately. If the service/calibration requires more then one technician to complete the work, you will be notified of the additional cost involved.

*Interstate and out of Melbourne service/calibration calls will be quoted separately. Substantial savings can be made by delivering testing equipment to IDM premises whenever possible and where risk of damage in transport is acceptable.

Terms and Conditions:
Cancellation of this Agreement before the expiry time would incur a Cancellation Fee of 75% of the outstanding amount due to the end of the contract.

Three months advanced notice of cancellation of this Agreement must be given to the Manager of IDM Instruments Pty Ltd® including the reason for the cancellation.

If any other company or person not subcontracted by IDM Instruments Pty Ltd® performs Preventative Maintenance and Calibration on the instruments within the program period, the calibration certificates issued by or through IDM Instruments Pty Ltd® will be made void.
